Keep Your Carpets Looking New
Just follow these tips and your carpets will be the star of the show every time.
Tip #1 - Vacuum Early and Often
Vacuum your carpets at least three times a week using a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate) filter. These vacuum cleaners may require more of an initial investment, but their superior cleaning power will be money well-spent.
Remove spills and stains as quickly as possible to prevent them from seeping into the carpet fibers. Also remember to blot the spill or stain; rubbing it will grind it into the carpet.
Tip #3 - Use Mats at Entrances
Keep a mat on the inside and outside of all entrances to your home. Clean shoes and feet mean less dirt being tracked on your carpets.
Tip #4 - Change Your Traffic Lanes
Traffic lanes aren't just found on the highway! Your carpets get worn more in areas where your family walks on a daily basis. Try to rearrange the furniture or utilize area rugs to minimize the traffic lane impact on your carpets.
